What to Expect

A COLLABORATIVE, SUPPORTIVE PROCESS

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, with a focus on understanding your child's unique strengths and challenges and supporting your families goals.

Here's What the Process Typically Looks Like

Each family's journey is unique, but these are the typical steps I follow.

01

Initial Phone Consultation

A complimentary call to briefly discuss your concerns and determine if my practice. may be a good fit for your family.

02

Parent Intake

A 75-minute session to explore your concerns and learn more about your child's history, development, and family.

03

Evaluation

Depending on your child's needs, this may include an individual diagnostic session, family play session and an additional parent session. I may also collaborate with teachers and other professionals.

04

Treatment Plan

I will share my clinical impression and work collaboratively with you to develop a plan for treatment. Progress and treatment goals are revisited throughout the process.

A Collaborative Process

Treatment is a collaborative process. Parents are encouraged to share feedback throughout the treatment so that together we can make sure the approach continues to meet your child's and family's needs.
